MOUNT MERATUS BARITO JUNGLE TREK EXPEDITION

Day 01: ARRIVAL IN BANJARMASIN (D)
After your arrival at Banjarmasin airport, your tour guide wait you at the arrival hall for a short meet and great before you transfer by car to the hotel for check in and refreshing. During the afternoon we make a sightseeing tour by sailing the Banjarese canal system to get the river life impression of the local civilization during the canoe journey. Afterwards, dinner at local restaurant and return to hotel for overnight, evening free at own leisure.
Day 02: BANJARMASIN, CABAI, PAPAGARAN (BLD)
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel, before we make us up for the adventure with a 4 hour car drive through hilly forest land to Cabai village in the foot of Meratus Mountain, which mark the start point for our off the beaten track through the Meratus Mountian Jungle range, crossing rivers and Dayak wooden longhouse settlements, hiding in the primary forest. Lunch and dinner will be served en route, overnight in the prepared bivouac tent.
Day 03: RAINFOREST TREKKING (BLD)
The guide will make your simple breakfast before we trek the forest trails, crossing the Bamboo river bridges, and plantation paths to Kadayang village. Lunch and dinner prepared en route, overnight at the prepared bivouac camp.
Day 04: RAINFOREST TREKKING (BLD)
After breakfast, we will trek the jungle trails and hanging bamboo bridges to Haratai waterfall, passing longhouse villages and agriculture plantations of the local Dayak tribes. Lunch and dinner served en route, and overnight in bivouac tent.
Day 05: RAINFOREST TREKKING (BLD)
An adventure Trekking through the higher range of the Meratus range towards Kapayang village, which path lead us through secondary forest, crossing the hanging river bridges, cinnamon and rubber plantation hills, and longhouse settlements. Lunch prepared en route by your guide, dinner and overnight in the longhouse.
Day 06: KAPAYANG, BAMBOO RAFTING, BANJARMASIN (BLD)
Simple breakfast prepared by the local Dayak tribe, before we start our last trekking down the Meratus Mountain range towards the Amandit River of Loksado, which we will cruise downstream by prepared Bamboo Raft passing beautiful landscape of tropical rainforest along the riverside to Muara Hatip, where the car will wait us to drive us to Banjarmasin, along the road journey we will pass Cempaka village to explore the traditional diamond and gemstone digging by penny the muddy ground surface in the hope to shake out some raw diamonds or valuable quality stone materials, Lunch and dinner at local restaurants en route of the trip, overnight in hotel in Banjarmasin.
Day 07: FLOATING MARKET, DEPARTURE (D)
Wake up early in the morning, boat cruise the Barito river to visit the floating market as an unique Banjarese culture experience of Borneo, where the local people trade their commodities from boat to boat. Return to hotel for breakfast, free at own leisure until the proper time for your transfer to Banjarmasin airport, where you can connect your flight to your next holiday destination.
