Samboja Lestari Orangutan Rehabilitation Center
Sungai Wain as the area of Orangutan Rehabilitation center of Samboja Lestari Project in East Kalimantan started as the "Wanariset" reforest project early 1990 at the Bukit Suharto Forest which is about a hour drive from Balipapan and Samarinda city as the main Gateways to East Kalimantan. Samboja Lestari has a jungle lodge for tourist with a Orangutan and Sun Bear Rehabilitation center in the Sungai Wain area and is part of BOSF (The Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation).
Samboja Lodge
The Lodge has in total 26 rooms completed, 22 standard with Airconditioning, Two Suite Rooms with Airconditioning and hot water shower and 2 tree top suites, with fantastic view, and offcourse Airconditioning and hot water shower.
The Lodge is completed with a towering area to oversea the Jungle area, a Lobby and a Restaurant, laundry service and kitchen facilites, including an Internet access area.
